Maya Lin's Wave Field is a geometric attraction made of grass and the natural make up of the land it's on. It's located on the campus of The University of Michigan and has been since 1995. The patch of land measures out to 10,000 square feet. I chose this piece of Lin's because it looks somewhat natural and yet it is clearly man made by the closeness in both appearance and distance of the hills and valleys. My first reaction was that it looked like a condensed gold course, but after seeing the pictures of students on the field, I realized how cool this would be to have on a campus.
